Mouse Test - Test Your Mouse Buttons and Scroll Wheel
Test all your mouse buttons and scroll wheel functionality online. Our free mouse tester helps you verify that all buttons (left, right, middle) and scroll wheel are working correctly. Whether you're troubleshooting hardware issues, testing a new gaming mouse, or measuring your click performance, this tool provides instant visual feedback and detailed metrics.
Features
- All Button Testing: Test left-click, right-click, and middle-click buttons with color-coded visual feedback. Each button press creates a unique wave animation to confirm detection.
- Scroll Wheel Test: Verify your scroll wheel is working properly in both up and down directions. The visual mouse model responds in real-time to your scrolling.
- Click Counter: Track how many times you've clicked each button with a clicks-per-second (CPS) counter that updates in real-time.
- Performance Metrics: Measure your clicks per second for gaming performance testing and track your double-click speed in milliseconds.
- Real-time Feedback: Visual representation of button presses with animated wave effects that expand from your click position, making it easy to see exactly where and when you clicked.
- Mouse Position Tracking: See your current mouse coordinates in pixels, helpful for precision testing and troubleshooting tracking accuracy.
How to Use
- Move your mouse over the test area to start tracking position
- Click anywhere in the test area with your left, right, or middle mouse button
- Each button creates a different colored wave: blue for left-click, green for right-click, and orange for middle-click
- Try scrolling with your mouse wheel to test scroll functionality
- Watch the visual mouse diagram light up as you press buttons - the buttons will animate and change color
- Check your click statistics and performance metrics in the information panel
- Test your double-click speed by clicking twice rapidly with your left button
- Use the clicks-per-second counter to measure your clicking speed for gaming
Understanding Your Results
Position Coordinates: The X and Y values show your mouse position relative to the test area. These values should change smoothly as you move your mouse.
Last Button: Shows which button was pressed most recently. This helps identify if the correct button is being detected.
Clicks per Second: Measures how fast you can click. Gaming mice can typically achieve 10-15 CPS with normal clicking, or higher with specialized clicking techniques.
Double-Click Speed: Measures the time between two rapid clicks. Faster speeds (under 200ms) indicate quick reflexes and proper mouse sensitivity settings.
Common Mouse Issues
- Button not working: If a button doesn't register, it may need cleaning or replacement. Try testing with different click pressures to determine if it's a hardware fault.
- Double-clicking: If single clicks register as double clicks, adjust your system's double-click speed settings or check for hardware issues caused by worn-out switches.
- Scroll issues: Erratic scrolling may indicate a dirty scroll wheel or sensor. Clean the wheel mechanism and check if scrolling is detected consistently in both directions.
- Inconsistent tracking: If position coordinates jump or freeze, there may be sensor issues or surface compatibility problems. Try using a mouse pad or different surface.
